This American Wisteria was collected in Georgia 12 years ago and has been in Jeromes collection ever since. It has deeper purple flowers than a Japanese wisteria. It is a vine and not a tree. It is very unusual to find a wisteria that has adapted to growing in a tropical climate. It blooms every spring. This Wisteria has a twisty, gnarly trunk and a great root spread.
