Insecticide, what to use?
Any Bonsai species, no matter where kept, should be sprayed regularly for insects. At least once a month is suggested as a preventative.
One of the best products to use as a preventative or as a cure is Bayer 3 in 1.
Bayer 3 in 1 “Insect Disease & Mite Control” is a fantastic product. Not only does it cure almost all diseases, it is also a Systemic and a Mite control as well as a Fungicide.
This product is best applied before sunrise or after sunset. Spray the canopy from every side as well as from underneath the leaves up into the canopy, last but not least, the soil should not be forgotten. Spray the soil surface with just a couple of pumps. When spraying your trees, a thin layer of insecticide spray goes a long way. Make sure you wear eye protection, a respirator mask and gloves for protection.
