A professional, all-mineral soil blend designed for exceptional drainage, aeration, and long-term stability. Inspired by “Pon-style” horticulture, this mix combines three natural components that create the ideal root environment for bonsai, tropicals, and succulents.

Pumice retains moisture and nutrients within its porous structure, supporting steady hydration and root vigor.
Lava rock adds structure, weight, and lasting aeration to prevent compaction over time.
Calcined clay regulates moisture and nutrients with excellent cation exchange capacity and pH stability. It’s a reliable substitute for zeolite, offering similar nutrient-holding performance with greater consistency and durability.

Screened to approximately 1/8–3/16 inch, this substrate provides the perfect balance of drainage and capillary action for sustained root health.

Ideal for bonsai species such as juniper, ficus, elm, maple, and bougainvillea, as well as tropical and indoor plants including pothos, philodendron, monstera, alocasia, anthurium, and hoya.
Also excellent for succulents and desert plants like jade, portulacaria, and adenium.
